The game is online only (you can also play with bots – but there is no single player campaign) and includes: all the 28 original weapons from the N64 version, 25 multiplayer maps, 10 game-modes and a host of all your favourite characters like jaws, baron samedi and of course 007 himself. Goldeneye was my, and I’m sure many of your, favourite game on the Nintendo 64 so getting to play this again with upgraded graphics, gameplay in 8 Vs 8 online matches should be great fun. Goldeneye: Source as you may (or may not know) is built on the Half Life 2 source engine from Valve and is a totally rebuilt version of the N64 games multiplayer, with refined HD graphics, gameplay and sound.
6 years after the release of Goldeneye Source version 4.0, and 10 years after its initial start up, the group of fans over at have finally released version 5.0 of Goldeneye: Source on PC.
